It does annoy me no end when a full time job gets in the way of my enjoyment of drawing and painting. I flick through Imagine FX magazine with envy at people like Steve Argyle who generally create brilliant works of fantasy art for his 9 to 5 job. It's been a good 8 months since I started working at a new company and I'm not to impressed when work loads creep into weekends. It's not good for anyone.

After months of on/off hard work, I've finally completed my first major stab at digital artwork. I've changed the theme of the image - it was supposed to be called the Emissary but changed my mind when I wanted to add a little more mystical elements. In the sketch stage it went through a few versions. There was one where the main figure was fully robed. Others included one with a bear-like familiar but I felt it detracted from the main figure. Hope you guys like the artwork.

This month provided me more time to pursue my digital art project. Still getting my skills right and Imagine FX magazine proving a really handy resource. Clothing is probably my latest challenge but I have some reference photoos now to help me out.
